FABIO SUBITO
The dynamic yet minimalist abstract art of Fabio Subito combines different techniques, from watercolour, oil, dry brush, and spray paints to digital elements. His works are reflecting a formal interest in contrast, texture, and color. Growing up in Como, Italy, he currently lives and works in Liguria. He studied fine arts in Milan, where he graduated. His meditative sometimes zen influenced paintings explore the relationship between natural and digital realms.
He´s inspired by artist like Antoni Tàpies, Sigmar Polke, Christopher Wool, and by all the surfaces of urban walls, the energy of street life. The intuitive, abstract approach that he brings to his compositions echoes his desire to break out from reality. His search for a polyrhythmic visual language, in which a multitude of colours, textures and materials merge to something new.
